A glimpse into everyday English sessions at MPFigueres
In the primary classroom, English sessions are taken very seriously by our fellow pupils. Some might be willing to work on vocabulary using flashcards, while others might prefer using speaking tips to start a conversation revolving around hobbies or food.
Also, the use of Montessori Grammar Symbols allows them to practice reading while getting acquainted with grammar categorization, hence paving the way for writing short stories based on their daily practice of English.
All conversations are fully held in English, thus encouraging all pupils to use all their linguistic knowledge regardless of their level.
At the end of the day, both pupils and specialists agree on a key concept, which is that there are no secrets nor shortcuts to improvement. It´s all about practice and further practice.
