What better way to use a foreign language than through acting? Theatre plays are already part of the Primary 4, 5, and 6 curriculum, enabling students not only to demonstrate their pronunciation and memorization skills in English, but also to prove that they have understood the play by finding the appropriate body language and intonation required.
While some students may feel more comfortable with role-playing, others may become engaged through adaptations of classic books such as Hamlet, Robinson Crusoe, or Frankenstein. In addition, writing tasks and reading comprehension activities have already become an established part of classroom routines, allowing children to develop clear writing skills and solid reasoning.
